ReasonTV at the Stewart-Colbert rally

In response to Glenn Beck's August rally in D.C., comedians Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert held a rally of their own last Saturday. This is what ReasonTV saw there.

Here's what New Left Media found at Beck's Rally...

Having viewed both, I can see that there are clearly uneducated people on both sides of the isle.

I also watched the actual live broadcast footage of both events. It's easy to find something to criticize in the crowds, but a look at the overall messages of both broadcasts (for me) are supportive of the pursuit of truth and knowledge which can afford happiness.

In short, if you feel "smart" and and claim sanity, watch the real broadcasts of both and see that there is something valuable to be learned from both.

Otherwise we continue a biased discourse where insanity thrives.

Jasper it is spelled aisle.

I was at the "Rally to Restore Sanity" and I can tell you what it meant to me. Jon Stewart summed it up in his final speech when he called out the media for being so bad at reporting. The main reason people are such fans of these guys is they turn a magnifying glass back on the so called mainstream media. That is also why the media largely ignored the rally. I was at he Obama inaugural and that had 1.8 million people this one had at least 400K. That is a big event not some lousy 90k like Becks rally.
